Guys please help me out... I'm under f2a my mom is the filing in for... I'm still waiting for IL... Someone just told me now that they'll need a DNA test the tome for my il is this true?? Any one has an experience?? Just worried cus the DNA test is very expensive and again that's still a very long time to wait for the test... Is the DNA test done in all cases?? Whether in doubt or not?

It is true. I know someone who just arrived from Cameroon in your same condition and they had to do a DNA test as proof.

From CC to interview also depends on the consulate/embassy of your country.  For example if you country is Mexico the time you wait from CC to actual interview date is between 10-12 months.

How long is Canada from CC to actual interview date?

Someone told me here that it’s a long wait! Like 4-6 months or more. He/she is dual citizen (UK/CANADIAN) so they tranfered theirs in the UK and already have interview date and said good luck to me. I was reading the spreadsheet in here too and I saw most Cr-1 applicants get their interview about 2 months after CC.

My uncle and his family had their F4 visa interview at the Mumbai Consulate on April 25th and thankfully everything went well without any issues!  Both his children who were included in the visa petition under CSPA had no problem, even though the older one was set to age out of CSPA on May 12th.

Only thing left is for the visas to be issued and stamped.  CEAC is showing their case under Administrative Processing since yesterday.  Though I don't understand why since the consulate officer didn't ask for any additional documents.

Can anyone who had an interview at the Mumbai Consulate recently share their timeline for the visa to be stamped on their passports?  Thank you!

Hope this is the month.  Our case was accepted for expediting 3 weeks ago at NVC, after receiving case complete.   It was forwarded to the Consulate and last touched on 4/15, however, still no interview date given.    I am guessing at this point we are looking at June for an interview at best

Did you try calling NVC?

I called last week, the woman said it could take several months to get a date😔..

I called them last week. They didn’t tell me how long it takes to get interview but they told me my embassy (Manila, Philippines) did not give the dates yet for them to schedule any interviews
