My husband had his interview today in DR and was approved! I’m so happy. It was a long road. Finally our one year old can bond with his dad. If it weren’t for this website I don’t think I would have been able to do this.

Thank you to everyone. And to those waiting, it’s hard but hang on because there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Congratulations!!! What questions did they ask? My husband is also in DR and we hoping for interview soon.

Was hoping it would be a little quicker than that, but it doesn't even matter. I'm sure you guys are on cloud 9 right now.

PS. Don't forget to pay his Immigrant Fee online before he leaves for the US so he gets his Green Card ASAP.  Best of luck to you guys.

I was wondering about any other fees. Thanks!

Thank you! I didn’t go to the interview with him and I asked what questions did they ask. He just said they asked a lot lol. I guess he’s just overwhelmed right now so I’ll ask him again once he settles down.

Hello Vj Members,

Just a heads up for indian members.
I landed in LAX last week. The immigration process went very smooth.
I had an issue withe the airline in india. It was singapore airline. I dint get a package with my passport because it was electronically done.
But the airline had no idea and they demanded a package. They wasted good 45 minutes and made calls and somehow let me on the plane.
So if anyone faces the same issue , atleast they should be ready for it. :)

Hello everyone,

After I received the CC email from NVC, would I get another email showing the actual date they sent it to my embassy?

or next email is the interview letter?

Thanks

After CC, next is interview letter. They won't send you a letter/email showing the actual date they send it to the embassy. You will be able to track it's movement on Ceac after getting your interview letter. Usually it says "in transit"  and once it reaches the embassy it says "Ready" or "At xyz country"

Next e-mail is the interview letter.  You can track it in CEAC to see when it's in transit(to the embassy) and when it's ready(at the embassy).

My CC was March 20, and my Interview Date is June 27.

Yet I see people on here with a CC date of April 1 and they got an interview date of June 7.

Same embassy.

####### is up with that?

Maybe their priority date is before yours

We all have the same embassy (Mumbai).

What is up with that?

What is your visa category? Well better to have interview date than having rfe like me and @nyokie 😂
