Goodevening everyone , I have my birth certificate issued by the national population census rejected today, i want to know where i can get the right one done

Was it a birth certificate or birth attestation?

I had my birth attestation rejected as well, but I simply re uploaded it with an explanation that it is a valid document that it should be looked into thoroughly.

My wife followed it up with calls to the supervisor, informing them that their website clearly said there are different versions of this document as each State has their own version. They accepted it about 2 weeks later.

So if yours is a birth attestation with your passport photo on it, detach the affidavit attached to it and upload only the attestation itself with an explanation, then tell your wife to follow them up with calls so you don't get stuck for too long.

Hi guys!

- does your visa status change right after the interview and  What it’s supposed to say?

- Is there a way to track the location of your passport?

Thank you in advance

Status should say Administrative Processing.  Next status if everything  goes after that will be Issued.

Why was it rejected? Check link below for the specific certificate NVC/USEM wants.

Hello all,

We heard the magic words today in USEM Lagos, APPROVED!!!

Thanks everyone....the CO did not check 1 single documents (maybe due to my wife's previous US visits and USEM records). She only asked for our pictures on her recent visits.  No tax 2017 or 2018...nothing.

But she said something I need clarifications please, that my Nigerian born stepchildren at the POE are US citizens automatically and should join the queue for US citizens and we should not apply for their Green cards!!!

Nope that's incorrect you would have to adopt them. She probably thought they were your biological children. You did file petition for them correct? They all have visas so you have to pay the $220 for each of them to get green card.

Congratulations.

Rejected by whom? Embassy? NVC?

That seems odd since that's the only place NVC and the embassy will accept Birth certificates.

Had my interview today at Auckland embassy in New Zealand. They asked:

1. What’s your favourite color

2. Where did you meet your husband

3. How did the relationship progress after the first meeting

4. Why do you want to move to the USA

Then they said you’ve been approved!!! Didn’t ask for any documents or proof of relationship, photos etc!!! Also they let my husband come to the interview with me :)

We have been married 4 years and living together in NZ so that probably made it easier.

Thanks everyone here for all the help and support and wishing you all the best!

Congratulations
