I feel sad because my husband haven't filed his 2018 taxes yet and we will be stuck at the NVC.

Extensions: If you filed an extension for the most recent tax year, submit a photocopy of your IRS Form 4868 (PDF - 509 KB), or write and sign a statement indicating you filed an extension, along with a tax transcript or tax return from the previous year.

If you did not file taxes: If you did not file Federal Income Tax Returns for the most recent tax year, write and sign a statement indicating why you did not file taxes.

This above is from NVC WEBSITE.

why don't you upload a signed statement saying that your petitioner hasn't filed 2018 taxes yet. But he will be filing soon before you go to the interview.

He would have had to file by now, it’s past April 15th. What happened?!
