K1 visa validity period 5 months now ?????

I picked up my passport with visa issued from the DHL office yesterday and I noticed the visa expires in 5 months. I had my medical on the 18th of March 2019 and interview on the 11th April 2019.  Does that mean my medical also expires in 5 months??

 

Am really confused now, any help would be appreciated? I have emailed them about it but yet to receive a response

The validity of the K1 is generally tied to the date of the medical exam, so since your medical was back in March, and the interview was almost a month later, five months seems about right.  Regardless, go by the date on the visa itself, and enter the country before the date on the visa, and it is not a good idea to wait for the last day considering possible travel delays.

Once you get your visa the medical validity date is what it the visa is validity is based on. Your dates seem to match up to this yardstick. So no real concern. Now, the medical is valid for one year for AOS purposes. That will be your next milestone after marriage.
