Hi there, can anyone let me know when I can submit my P3 to the Montreal consulate? My status changed from “In Transit” to “Ready” today, and I want to know if I’m able to send my P3 and documents before receiving the hard copy by mail? Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Like @payxibka stated, head on over to the Canadian sub-forum for help with the US Embassy Canada.

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Hey Damonlee,

I sent my P3 in 2 weeks before getting it in the mail and got my P4 the next day.

I have seen other people say they tried to do this and got asked to wait until they see the second "Ready." It is pretty random if they'll let you send it in early on the first "Ready".

In my honest opinion I would just send it in, the worst case they will say please wait until you receive it in the mail which you could just send once you see it show a 2nd "Ready" :) Good luck !

Thank you so much! I’ll give it a few days and wait for another update then send the P3 docs. I’ve heard from many others to wait for a Ready refresh, so I’ll do that! Thanks again! :)

I'd be curious to your outcome. Can you please return and update this post. I'm sure others would like to know also. Thanks and good luck.

You can but sometimes Montreal tells you to wait.  Just because it's at Montreal "ready" doesnt mean theyve even opened the email yet.

I would give it a week or two then send p3.

Disregard the advice about booking a medical before interview from Greenbaum.  For Canadian panel physicians, you need to have an interview booked first.
