For the past year or so (? Not sure exact timing) they’ve switched back to a LIFO system, seems to be in response to an upsurge in frivolous claims which they are trying to get processed and out the country ASAP. i guess you also saw the latest news, that the Trump admin wants to deny work permits to asylum applicants. Guess that would go through the courts too.
