My husband  received a letter this saturday to get his biometrics done on may 6 at Dallas service center. We guys have planned to move out of state on may 4 and his new job begins on may 6 in PA. Now, he is gone to Asc hoping to get it done; he has been told to come back after 2 pm cst to check his paper. My husband is not hopeful; what could be done? The best option?

Best option is to try to walk-in.   When my partner did his biometrics at what should have been a busy service center in LA, it was almost empty and could have easily accommodated walk-ins.

The only other alternative is to file the change of address form, send the biometrics rescheduling notice and include a note (that they hopefully look at) about the new address.  The walk-in option will be way less risky.

On a side note, I'm often shocked about how little notice they give for biometrics.  We had less than 10 calendar days from receipt to appointment as well.

This is Dallas, go in the afternoon and they can do walk in.

They will do not worry about it. My almost everyone I know have done it at a day that is convenient for them in Dallas.

You have a strong reason to do it early too, so if they are not busy in the AM, they may get you in and let you on your way.
