still waiting for an email from embassy

You know I am still waiting too. Waiting for you to do your research where you should have come upon the items that appear below as I have posted this many many times and others have to. Yes, this is a waiting game. You can stomp your feet, yell from the tops of the mountains and guess what, it's done nothing to move your file along. The man with the gold makes the rules. Keep that in mind.

Once your case shows "Ready" then you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but some have heard back the same day that they sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. Usually your fiancé gets the police records in a week. Court records same day. Celabecy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once you have them, then dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..).

Here is the list of panel physicians used by the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca. Call ahead to insure they are still doing medical exams for the Embassy.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/CSB%20-%20Casablanca.pdf

You cannot schedule dr appointment till you receive notice from embassy it is taking about 3 months of waiting to be able to schedule any appointments. Do not do the medical too soon as the travel time must be completed within 6 months from date of that medical. You will also need to complete 2 criminal reports (one of which expires in 90 days)  Obtain a Fiche Anthropometrique and a Casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station at their place of residence.

Had my medical today. I could have had it much earlier but had to postpone it due to health issues but all went well and that’s a huge relief. Next step, interview on September 10th!! 🙂 where hopefully I’ll bump into @Zoeeeeeee ! I won’t have my fiancé with me (change of plans) but here’s hoping the final stage goes smoothly and by my bday (16th) I have some good news to celebrate. 🙊🥳

Eeek, it’s getting close now! Delighted your medical went well - don’t forget to post a review in the UK forum - it’s always nice to hear how others went before you have your own 🙃.

I just looked to see if I could switch my 11:30 interview to 10:30, so we could line up together, etc - but they’re fully booked up now on the 10th 😫

Hi everyone,

Anyone happen to get lucky in finding a civil surgeon in Richmond Virginia who doesn't require a second medical exam?

I didn't get vaccinations when had the medical exam at panel physicians. After reading lots of 'bad' experience in civil surgeon, it looks like lots of people suffer from a second medical exam for K1 visa. Has anyone had any idea about a civil surgeon in Richmond, Virginia that they give vaccinations without requiring a second medical exam? Thanks so much!

@GreenbaumCO approved my fiancé's application but asked us to forward these documents with the passport before the visa is issued. My question is will including the joint sponsor's bank statement help our case. Thanks.

Only submitt what is asked for no more and no less. She has already made her mind up and if the documents satisfies her task then your approved. Just relax. More information can be a set back. Trust the process.

Have you called around to see who does not require a medical?  Tell them you had a medical in your country and its still valid for six months and you need vaccinations and transcription to the I-693.

Have you tried getting your vaccinations through your county health dept where the costs are much lower? If you get vaccinations be sure you get receipts for all so CS can transcribe them to the i-693.

Hello guys my experience: The official consular interview asked me a lot about why we didn't get married. I went alone to the interview, he also asked me why my fiance was not there, I told him that He send a letter explaining the reasons and he told me to tell him, because I told him that he has vacations at work and wants to have time  Free for when I arrive in the United States, he asked me to see photos and gave him all the photos I took.  My visa passport was delivered to me in 4 working days.

Congratulations!!! My spouse will be doing her consulate processing at the Santo Domingo embassy...do you think it will be necessary for me to accompany her to the interview? Are the CO's at the SD consulate very demanding (with their questions, demands for proof of bona fide marriage, etc.)? Thanks.

Most CO's are nice and their approach is serious which some equate to "demanding". Your case is already approved the co just needs to follow up on certain items and those items no can tell you what they are. The CO is their because they have access to the local culture and where they apply them to everyone's case. Your goal is to convince the CO that you have a bonafide relationship and that you are not trying to commit fraud. If you are straight forward with your answers, look the CO in the eyes when answering and be truthful. If asked a question you don't know the answer would be that you don't know. Never make something up. Keep any answers short and to the point. They use a rambling conversation to their advantages and can pick up something that may lead them down a different path then you wanted them to. Good luck.
