No issue. Use the passport name which in reality should be the same as the BC unless she is divorced.

Okay I figured it shouldn't be  just trying to avoid the mini heart attack, and the worrying that comes along with the waiting game. Thanks for the quick reply.

Update: I finally have my interview schedule and that will be on 16 July 2019. I hope I can impress the consul so they will approve my visa.

Wish me luck!

And good luck to everyone as well.

Thought the process is not yet over but from the bottom of my I heart i just want to thank  everybody for helping me survive this journey and answering my questions from day 1 and up until this date.

Your not there for a job interview, your their to prove that you are in a genuine relationship.  So impressing the CO will not garner you a visa but with solid evidence that you are in a genuine relationship will probably get you that visa. JMHO

So nothing to be worried about if it shows the question on the summary page and there is no response? It makes it seem like I didn’t respond to the question even though I wasn’t asked.

You can't answer a question that was never presented to you. When a form is designed it has certain avenues it takes. If at the end they want a summary page they will design it into the form. This is the case for the DS-160. Your overthinking this form.

I think it makes the most sense to just bring the additional information with you to the interview on a separate sheet of paper. IF they ask about it, give it to them, inform them that THEIR system wouldn't allow you to input the info. If not, let it go. (Worse case scenario is probably getting a DS-5535 -but I wouldn't even think about that right now). The DS-160 is archaic and NOT user-friendly, the DOS knows it too. If it meticulously determined the outcome of a visa approval we would hear about it A LOT more. ...For instance: I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe that everyone is answering the question correctly about the fiance being classified as an "immediate relative" in the U.S. There's no way that all the  K visa applicants with approvals are catching that question and answering it correctly. ...Never intentionally be negligent, but don't stress the DS-160. We aren't the only ones that have seen glitches or inconsistencies on it. Just make sure you have the confirmation page and a clear barcode :).

once the case is "at NVC: is there any point contacting them on the phone?

I mean...could there be a multiple-day delay that the case completed just not updated on the website, or anything similar ?

I would rather not call and waste 45-60 minutes for a response like "we are processing and it can take 1-200 years"

Nvc will sendemail to the beneciary stating that they received your case and follow the instructions given.

I doubt you understood my question.  Many of us don't get the email updates even if they have a valid registered email address.

I will answer my own question: it  will change to "in transit" once mailed, no other update from the the "at NVC" status.

Once you get a case number, you can fill out the DS 160 online. Print the confirmation page for this once completed.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things,  at NVC, In Transit, or Ready. Once your case shows "Ready" then you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but some have heard back the same day that they sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. Usually your fiancé gets the police records in a week. Court records same day. Celabecy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once you have them, then dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..).

Here is the list of panel physicians used by the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca. Call ahead to insure they are still doing medical exams for the Embassy.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/CSB - Casablanca.pdf

You can not schedule dr appointment till you receive notice from embassy it is taking about 3 months of waiting to be able to schedule any appointments. Do not do the medical too soon as the travel time must be completed within 6 months from date of that medical. You will also need to complete 2 criminal reports (one of which expires in 90 days)  Obtain a Fiche Anthropometrique and a Casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station at their place of residence.

All documents submitted in support of an application or petition must include complete translation into English. In addition, there must be a certification from the translator indicating that the translation is complete and accurate and attesting to his or her competence as a translator. See8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) .

Two weeks now and we still in transit 😣 😞😣 we emailed the embassy and nothing they said they will let us know if there's any update!

I know it's hard to be patient. Remember that there was just a mid-week holiday that likely affected processing times.
