Thank you so much for your speedy reply! 🙂 I’m obviously just over thinking things because I was surprised it has seemingly arrived so quickly (if I’m reading the screen shot correctly) as it only appeared in transit today.  I don’t think I have quite understood or read correctly about this stage as I thought it would take quite some weeks to ship. But now that makes sense that it will change to ready once processed and this is where it will likely take some weeks for anything else to happen.

My head is spinning a bit at how quickly this is going. I’m feeling so grateful as I know so many others have waited 3-4 times this long for any progress at all. I kept my expectations to only receive my NOA2 around September at best case scenario so this is truly amazing!

Thanks again and best of luck to you! 🙂🌈

The DHL hack only advises the number of packages contained in the currier post. It will not advise you to which one is yours. If your CEAC status is "in transit" then you can pretty much bet that your on that flight. Once it changes to ready then the embassy is ready for you to begin processing. You can get started now collecting documents, complete the DS-160 and pay and make your interview and medical appointments once you have your record set to ready. Let's get started with these links as they will lead you straight away to the interview. You now need to begin participating in your sub-forum where you will get help from those that are going through their interview now and those that have completed theirs and are hanging around to help others. Link is below.

Right, but how can I present it to them if I need an original government-issued photo ID to PICK UP my passport? :)

Sorry, I wasn't thinking about that specific issue. Now I understand your dilemma. Is there an ID that you can get from a governmental agency within your country? Say a student ID, a postal id, a drivers license, a voter picture ID or maybe some other picture ID? I'm not familiar with what is available from your country.

Not really..to get a drivers license takes 3-4 months, and I'm not a student. No other picture IDs are ever issued here😕

I wonder if they will accept a copy of your passport??? ...might be a dumb suggestion, at least it would match your "original" ID that you are picking up. I actually have the same question. I didn't search for an answer yet though.

I guess they will have no other option. I think I will send them an email to make sure a copy will be enough. I've got plan B though. My fiance is coming to the interview with me, so I can give him a copy of my passport, write a letter that will authorize him to pick up my passport - and we'll be good to go.

The website will only accept one payment and if you have already paid the fee and scheduled the interview then there are no worries. She doesn't send a DS-160 form, it's done online. You can do it yourself. I highly recommend that you go on line and create a new DS-160 using your personal information. There is no cost and you can create as many DS-160 form that you want. Be sure to bring the confirmation page with barcode to the interview as the CO will ask for it.

This is why I don't advocate using a lawyer because most often they cause problems. The best thing you can do is FIRE her and complete the work yourself. Besides you are almost to the finish line and many of us are here to help you.

hey everyone,

so last time greenbaum said that we really only need bank statements that show deposits with starting and ending balances.

does that also cover the whole documentation for when the bank account was opened? ive been noticing that people are saying you need a statement from the bank of when you first opened your account.. is this absolutely necessary or are bank statements from beginning to end fine?

I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this scenario on the DS-160. We answered all of the questions prompted to complete the form. But when we get to the "Review" page, it has blank spots that ask if additional phone numbers/emails have been used within the past 5 years. ...When we go back to edit, we aren't allowed to add anything (the "add additional" button is grayed out). Should we just ignore these blanks spaces on the Review page?  ...also, we can't record more than 2 past employers in the DS-160 -he had more than 2 in the past 5 years. I hope the consulate won't see it as an issue, we can't control that the fields are staying blank.
