What are the chances ceac didn’t update our status but our package was sent to the embassy in Paris?

I checked DHL and there was a package picked up and sent to Paris that arrived there today.

That has known to happen but rarely. You'll have to keep checking CEAC to see if it goes to "ready", if so then it their and you can begin the process.

I have a question about the DS-160 form. I started it this morning. I've been meaning to work on it again today, but every time I try to retrieve the application and fill in the application ID, surname, year of birth and security question it says "surname does not match" and "year of birth does not match" (and I know I'm filling in the correct information). Has anyone else had this problem, and what should I do? I've tried it on Firefox and Chrome, and have the same issues on both browsers.

The DS-160 online form has soo many bugs and has since it's beginning. I hate to say this but it's best to gather all the documents needed to complete the form and sit down with enough time to begin and submit at the same time.

Should I just start a new application then? I just hope it won't time out again, because that's why I stopped this morning. I had been on working for like 5 minutes and I went to go to the next page and it timed out. I've seen that's also a major problem with the form. I have time though, so let's just hope I'll get it done by the time it needs to be done 😊

I just got my case number, but I go to the CEAC website, and it tells me that it is not valid, some of you have that happened to you?

Are you using "immigrant " and your case number.

Greetings! What a delightful K-1 journey! How do I find the average time that the NVC is taking to assign a case number? When I called today, they said it can take up to 8 weeks. I have followed similar timelines to mine and others are receiving them the same day or within a couple of days. I was wondering if maybe people are just not accurately updating their timelines. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Thank you! While I don’t love waiting, it makes me feel better to know that sometimes it really does take a while.

Wait. Did you mean that they assigned it only 3 days later? I think I might have misread your post.

I got this response today from an old ask NVC inquiry...

Dear Sir/Madam:

This petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete.

I have since received my case number though by phone do I have anything to worry about?

Anyone get their Noa2 on May 15th or around there who are still waiting for the nvc to receive their application? They still don’t have it. Our NoA1 was Sept 7 2018, it feels like we got a ticket on the snail train!

Use this link to see what is required to get the Police Clearance for any country that you have lived in since the age of 16 more than 6 months. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html Once you arrive on the landing page look to the left column and chose the first letter in the country's name that you are searching for. Once you land on the page for that country then scroll about 3/4's of the way down till you see "Police, Court, Prison Records".  Select it. Then locate "Police Certificates" which should be the first entry. Then check the availability of getting a PC from that country. If it states "Available: Only if applicant is physically present in the "the country's name". If that is the case then screen shoot the page and print and bring to your interview in the event that you need to prove to the CO that a PC from that country is not available for you to get unless you are physically in the country. That should prevent any problems at the interview.

Thanks a lot!
