My bad. Spread your dates out a two days on each side of what you think the shipping date was. You were using the correct format but stupid me was I was looking at using the western machination.

I also made the ignorant mistake of the time difference only by now would it be the 24 hour sync, so tomorrow i’ll Give it another bash, thanks 👍🏻

just called the nvc to check about the case number, they said they have it however because they cannot confirm identity over the phone they have a new policy that they will no longer give case numbers this way, you have to wait for the email or mail.

Anyone ever heard of that?

I just called them today and got my case number.  They required 3 things to confirm my identity.

USCIS receipt number

Beneficiary's name and birth date

My name

If I were you I'd try again.  When I called I chose option 7 (so if you tried something else maybe try 7 instead.)

Thanks, I tried again yesterday and they told me that my case had not arrived yet (which I knew wasn't true) then she found it and gave me the case number 🙄

Hello! I would like to ask a question. It is about police clearance from an applicant/beneficiary who lived in UAE for at least 6mos. Does anyone knows about it and if its applicable to Fiance Visa / K1 applicant? Thank you.

DHL tracking seems to be working for me. There's a package on the way from Boston to Brussels, so that might be mine. Fingers crossed.

I checked the Same formula to other countries and that worked, but still no results for mine to SA, could it be that it hasn't been sent yet? I received a mail from the NVC

I know i am probably too early but it is been 24days now ( 3 weeks, 2days) no nothing from nvc. Anyone here from May 20th still waiting for nvc to say if they got the case or not?

May 24 here and nothing. Send an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov with the below content and don't worry about what others say about how long you should be waiting.

I bolded everything which needs to be changed before you hit the send button :)

subject line: your USCIS receipt number

Dear Customer Service,

Re: USCIS receipt number xxx

·        Beneficiary’s name: xxx

·        Beneficiary’s DoB: xxx

·        Petitioner’s name: xxx

·        Petitioner’s DoB: xxx

I have contacted the NVC customer service line over the phone and they advised that they do not see the application being received from USCIS.

It’s been 30 days since approval. I’m afraid this might have got lost in the mail from USCIS to NVC.

I’ve attached a copy of the NOA2 approval notice. (make sure to attach this)

Please advise.

Thank you

I'm pretty sure that If you got the mail from NVC, the package has been sent and is on its way. Maybe it's delayed a little bit and hasn't been put in the system? I would try not to worry too much about it (easier said than done of course)

Some Embassies receive only electronic files and not a paper file. Did you ask in your subforum as to what you expect at this stage?

Use this link to see what is required to get the Police Clearance for any country that you have lived in since the age of 16 more than 6 months. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html Once you arrive on the landing page look to the left column and chose the first letter in the country's name that you are searching for. Once you land on the page for that country then scroll about 3/4's of the way down till you see "Police, Court, Prison Records".  Select it. Then locate "Police Certificates" which should be the first entry. Then check the availability of getting a PC from that country. If it states "Available: Only if applicant is physically present in the "the country's name". If that is the case then screen shoot the page and print and bring to your interview in the event that you need to prove to the CO that a PC from that country is not available for you to get unless you are physically in the country. That should prevent any problems at the interview.
