Thank you - I was a bit confused about the processing instructions.

I spoke to someone at NVC  today and they said to call back next week when they should have assigned us a case number. I'm hoping our file will be sent out to the London embassy on the 25th - or would that be too early do you think?

If the case number is assigned next week you should no have a problem with being on the shipment 6-25

The Sweden P3 letter states the following:

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: Evidence, which will show that you and your children, if any, are not to become public charges in the United States. If you have no assets, you may find a financial sponsor in the U.S. who completes form I-134, Affidavit of Support on your behalf. The sponsor should also provide a copy of the most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (1040) and proof of current U.S. income or assets. Form I-134 can be obtained from Citizenship and Immigration Services’ webpage www.uscis.gov

This is a good yardstick of information to follow as it pretty much states the requirements for most embassies.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form (https://www.uscis.gov/i-134) K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

You don't need 150 pages. You just bring what is asked for on the P3. Your in front of the CO for 5-10 min tops. Even if the CO is a speed reader they could get through your document and still render a good interview. Do what do will do.

First link Embassy instructions and second is medical instructions.

We weren't entirely sure how to fill out the form because he's still in school and lives off a trust fund, so no income from a job. The assets takes up about 60 pages, it feels kinda overkil,l I just don't want to risk screwing anything up by not bringing it. I had three years of tax returns though so I reduced it to the most recent only. Thank you.

Only the USC petitioner submits financials. Beneficiary does nothing.  60 pages :wow:. They are not looking for the family tree, just some simple financial information. If the petitioners income is not enough to support the beneficiary then I recommend get a co-sponsor. Just do what do will do.

I'm aware that the petitioner submits the financial documents, my fiancé IS the petitioner. And as for it being 60 pages, I'm not sure why. It states the total sum on the first page, and the rest are account details. I don't see a reason to get a co-sponsor when his assets are well above enough to support me.

You know there is no designation that you, the poster, are either male or female, or you are the petitioner or the beneficiary so how is it I am supposed to know that? Your post does not indicate that so it was confusing. Ahhh …. Nevermind, I am not looking for an argument. From this point forward I will not be reply or help you along your way. Oy Vey.

I'm confused why there would be an argument? I was informing you my fiancé is the petitioner and he is the one submitting the financial documents, since you said the USC is supposed to submit them. I'm sorry if you got offended.

Hi! Still waiting for NVC ☺️

Hi! Still have a ways to go but you are almost there. Normal tracking from NOA2 is 4 to 6 weeks then 2 weeks for case assignment then the next phase is dependent on the shipping schedule. Follow the information on the first page of this thread and first post  for more guidance.

Congratulations.  I thought that for the k1 Visa you don't have to sent anything to NVC they just give you a case number
