@Greenbaum, Do you have the p3 information for Montreal, Canada?

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Packet 3: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf  And Packet 4 for reference also: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/03/Packet4-MTL.pdf

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the sub-forum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Birth Certificate and Police Certificate information
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aa5iWVtFniXGWavXN0zs-94dewD2Fdfy/view?usp=sharing

Here is some additional information. As was stated in the Canadian sub-forum there is an "emergency order" application in Ontario. You need the birth cert that is CERTIFIED COPY OF BIRTH REGISTRATION that has the parents name. You don't want the "parental cert" that is a wallet sized one with parents names but no place of birth, doctors who attended birth etc. The parental one is for parents travelling with kids to prove custody in an easy to use/travel with format. Hope this clears up your question. CALL the registrar and tell them you need to do an emergency application otherwise you will be waiting 15+ weeks. Absolutely the long form is a required LIVE document needed at the interview or you'll get rejected.  I hope this info is helpful and best of luck.

In case you're doing the medical in Vancouver: Dr. Cheema requires you to schedule the interview first in order to book the medical.

There are more documents required for the interview then just the I-134 with tax transcripts. Second link, scroll down to "All Required Documents for the Interview" and you will see what is required.

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/  When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

Here is some information including the Embassy P3 for you to get a head start

As I understood, the medical exam can be done only after receiving the case number from NVC, but no need to wait for the documents to reach the embassy/consulate.

  1. Case number from NVC is needed for medical examination along with address in US, where beneficiary is going to live. Your fiancée will need to know this.
  2. Police certificate can be obtained without case number. It is valid 1 year. So beneficiary can obtain it in advance.
  3. To get results of medical examination it can take 7-14 days, especially in Summer. Medical costs $190 - adult, $140 - child under 14 years.
  4. Police certificate: costs 12,25 bel.rubles- within 7-15 days, or 24,5 bel.rubles - within 3 days.
  5. The birth certificate needs to be translated to English.  A Polish BC is not required to be translated.
  6. If the petitioner is going to be with the beneficiary for the interview, the USC does not need to fill out anything. Just use the petitioner's passport to enter the US embassy. Though, it doesn't guarantee that they will be allowed to attend the interview with beneficiary that's entirely up to the interviewing CO.
  7. Court rulings/judgements have to be translated into English.

Note: Do not schedule your interview date until you receive a letter with the instructions. If you do not receive the instructions from the US Embassy within six weeks after the notification from NVC about the transferring of your case to Warsaw, you should send an inquiry about the status of your case directly to the Consular Section of the US Embassy Warsaw at publicwaw@state.gov

This is funny. I just posted the P3 for Canada just 3 entries before your request to someone else. :bonk: Please be a good student and follow along and read everything that has been newly posted each time you return to the thread. Now I am doing twice the work. It would be a shame if I had ignored your request. I don't get paid for this work. It's all volunteer just so you get some FREE help and your visa.  Information would cost upwards of $3K with a lawyer. Just saying!

Is it normal for the USCIS case tracker not to update that my case is approved? (I-129F)

My fiance got our case number and NVC Invoice number yesterday NOA2 was 9 May, would it be Naive to assume we might make the shipment next week Tuesday to the consulate in Johannesburg?

I have completed my DS-160  and compiled all the info for the interview, any other advise whilst I wait for my package to make it to the embassy?

Thanks

USCIS does not sponsor ANY third party case trackers some work for some people some don't work. IMO I'd uninstall it as they do nothing but add to your stress level. In summary NO they don't always work!!!!!

@Sarge2155 I'm also referring to the USCIS website as well, no update there, not that any of it bothers me, was just curious...

Thanks

It's the same for USCIS. Your mileage may vary and USCIS is no exception. We explain this anomaly through out the thread.
