No you update it anyway even if there were no changes. This might trigger email alerts from NVC and they may not even have your email address. Also request to be notified once your case arrives at NVC and your case number has been assigned, and also request that you be notified once you case leaves NVC. They don't always send out emails ( they sent all three to me) but it's better to request it in the off chance they do send you emails.

Awesome, thanks buddy! :)

For those of you still waiting to be shipped out and those that have just gotten their NOA2 within a few days ago the next shipment day out from NVC  to your individual embassy is June 11, 2019 and then after that it's June 25, 2019.

Good to know. Though I'm not expecting to even have a case number in 11 days so June 25th is more likely. So it's every alternating Tuesday, then?

Yes every other Tuesday and Wednesday, but the bulk of them go out on Tuesday!

I called NVC and received my invoice # since I stupidly forgot to ask the first time I called.  Filled out the DS-160 application today so hopefully this gets the process moving again.

hi everyone,

so just to get one thing clear...the P3 is a physical packet that will show up in the mail at my fiance's address?

The P3 is a letter that usually emailed, snail mailed or can be found at the embassy website that will explain next steps and what is needed for the embassy interview. This is provided to the beneficiary.

I've done a little research for your consulate. Here is what I have found. Immigrant visas to the United States are processed for citizens and residents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan at the Consulate General in Almaty.

Further information can be found here: https://kz.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visas/

If you get a P3 letter from the consulate could you share a copy with me. I will use it to help others who come behind you. Thanks.

Many questions may come up during your processing, especially at this stage that is why I wrote the information (referred to as tips, tricks and hacks) contained in the first post of this thread. These questions will more then likely be asked over and over again. So that we don't have to answer them over and over, I provided the PDF in this thread to being proactive. Take the time to read it and I'm sure you will find it helpful. Please, download the PDF and put it to work for you.

The information contained in that first thread is invaluable as witness by others. Eliminate some of the stress and get caught up and make your life a little easier.

thanks again Greenbaum. So reading the info on the link you sent, there isnt anything I have to do until they contact us from the consulate? It almost sounds like there wont even be a p3 letter from them..hmm. in any caae, yes i will share it if it becomes available to me.

Also, just for clarification:

I call NVC for a case number. during which i have sent her all the necessary paperwork for and with the i-134.

I then use that case number to track it on the dhl site and on ceac.

Once NVC has sent out my case to the embassy my fiance does the ds-160 and follows the P3 instructions for medical exams.

Then they schedule an interview

pass interview then. win.

is that basically how it goes from here?

Then they schedule an interview YES

pass interview then. win. AND PAY GREENBAUM HIS COLD BEER.

is that basically how it goes from here? YES BUT YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY.

Good luck.

I went to ceac.state.gov and checked my status.  I then went to travel.state.gov to follow instructions and first step was choose an agent.  When I tried that it said I needed an invoice number along with the case number.  Maybe I’m doing something wrong.
