Called this morning, they said they had received the case today but that it hadn't gotten a case file ID yet, but that's progress. I wonder if once I have the number my fiancee can start scheduling medical and interview in Vietnam.

Did you ask this question in the sub-forum for your embassy? Did you search the embassy webite? Do you have a copy of the P3 instructions?

You got to do some of the heavy lifting.

I was just thinking outloud, it wasn't a question, otherwise it would have a ? at the end of it. I have looked a little, but as I'm working, I don't have time to search deep at the moment, I was just sharing that I had the information.

But, for your information, I have looked at the website, I do have a copy of the instructions. You don't have to reply to everyone like it's your job greenbaum, especially if you are going to be a bit of a ####### about it.

In the English language the phrase "I wonder" can be construed as an underlying question. From your reply it seems you got this all figured out so I will dismiss your future questions which will save me time to answer the hundreds of other that I help. Good luck.

It can also be thinking out loud. If you are asking a question using English, you end it with a question mark (which looks like this ?) not a period. You have been helpful to myself and others, but your responses, in general, often have quite a bit of snark to them. If you want to help, help, no need to inject attitude into it unless you want to get the same reaction in kind. If it is too much trouble for you to answer a question, then don't.

@Greenbaum I started gathering all the paper needed for my interview but I have a question can the form I-134 be a copy ? Can my fiance print it and sign it and after that scan it and send it to me by email ? What about the IRS and W2 can those be a copy also ?

I got a bit confused a minute ago...I have a K1 beneficiary with 2 children (5 year old twins) who derive the visa through the primary beneficiary.

Will I need to pay 1x $265 as NVC fee, or 3x $265 ?

thank you

From your embassy instructions it states the following. It's asking for legible photocopies so i would say that you are fine.

Note: The consular officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

Concerning I-134 documents the instructions say the following. I don't think there would be a problem emailing documents to print on the beneficiary side for the interview.

    • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
