They had a bunch of questions about my previous divorce, but she handled it like a champ. She thought the seminar itself was very interesting. Also received the final document requested on the 221g which will go out this week. So its wait time again.

Yea, the CFO itself is fairly simple and just routine in sense of the seminar, but heard some wild stories that happened in there also. Even my husband told me one about some girl also going through the K-1 process and ended up finding out her fiance had a criminal record in the Philippines she knew nothing about from years earlier haha. Won't go into details but yea was quite something when they told her.

It was good that your fiancee was up to speed on your divorce .. CFO does hammer on those.

Glad it is over and done with for you

So my assumption is if they ask about divorce heavily, they will ask about a previous marriage that ended being a widower. Correct?

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

No they don't ask much on that, divorces are the "hot topic".  With my wife they asked nothing about my past wife's death.

Sorry to revive this topic, As I have a couple of questions regarding this.

1. Will they also have an interview on the CFO Seminar?

If yes,

2. My fiancee is also divorced way back 2012, what type of questions regarding the divorce will they ask? She is the petitioner by the way.

3. Will an American also do the questioning during the CFO Seminar?

Thanks.

1.  Yes there is a one on one interview during the CFO seminar.

2.  CFO will want a copy of the divorce decree (same as the embassy asks for a copy).  Being there is only one divorce odds are they will likely ask minimal questions about the divorce aside from maybe asking if you are aware of "the why she got divorced".    It is when the petitioner has multiple divorces they it becomes a "hot topic"

3.  CFO is a Philippine requirement, so naturally it would be a Filipino presenting the seminar and handling the interviews.

Every Filipino has to undergo the CFO seminar prior to immigrating either to Europe or the USA/Canada. It is a Philippine requirement not a US requirement. So why would a American do the questioning at all?
