Hi everyone,

As i had found these so useful, i thought i'd give a write-up of my experience to share the wealth..

My appointment was at 11.30 on Thursday the 18th of April. I arrived 15 minutes early (the offices are on the ground floor on the right as you walk in). As soon as i got in, i went to reception and they got the the process started. It must have been a quiet period. I handed my passport, photos and copies of my paperwork which included:

Confirmation letter from Embassy regarding receipt of approved petition

ACRO Police Certificate

Vaccination records (they mention the redbook in their email but i just took a form printed off from my GP and that was fine)

Completed medical questionnaire

Medical records (I couldn't get a Summary Care Record from my GP. Alternatively, they gave me access to print off my Summary Patient Record, which listed Allergies & Sensitivities; Acute Medication in the last 12 months; Current Repeat Medication & Past Repeat Medication discontinued in the last 6 months)

I also was able to print off a discharge note from an operation in 2013, and letters from doctors regarding a family heart condition which i have been investigated for throughout my life (the letter essentially saying I don't have that gene that develops that condition)

Reception handed over a cup to urinate in and some paperwork, both of which i preceded to complete and hand back to reception.

They then called me in for a chest x ray. This involves taking your shirt off and pressing your chest against a machine and is a fairly short process.

I was then summoned immediately in to see the nurse and discuss vaccinations. I had managed to get all mine done (2 days before the medical) so she just gave me the AoS vaccination form and I was on my way.

Finally, I was called in to see the Doctor. There was a bit more of a general chat about my health, my drinking habits, had i ever taken drugs. After this, I stripped down to my underwear and she performed some checks on my stomach, throat and my blood pressure. A blood sample was taken and that was pretty much it.

I then returned to the waiting area, when reception called me one last time for me to pay my fees and they handed me a receipt. The whole thing took around an hour.

Happy to answer any questions if you have any!

James :)

Nice write up ! Interesting that you have confirmed they accept this as a medical record, thats what they had told me by email too, but i managed to get a full record before my interview so didnt use the Summary Patient Record. For anyone else seeing this in future, the SPR is the information you get if youre given access to your online medical records.

Its funny how the same place give slightly different medical experiences, for instance I never had to strip to underwear, just had to remove my shirt. Did you get an eyesight check and height / weight measured ?

Good luck for your interview !

yeah same, had eyesight and no height + weight, but some people have reported they had that done.

For the interview you`ll first get to a small kiosk, theyll send you in the right direction, I have a full write up on the interview experience you may find helpful.
