Per a poster in the Philippines forum the option to file has officially closed as of today. As per Skye1202 (last post on page 1) they received confirmation of this today. Not sure how true this is.

Makes logical sense since they indicate that it could take  up to 60 days for approval of the petition,  then that the last submission date would be 60 days prior to office closure

YMMV

While logically it makes sense, they still haven't updated their consulate page or USCIS website with any info, only Buzzfeed of all places has reported any closing dates, the official pages still haven't changed.  This is quite worrying for other consulates and people hoping to file this year if we are all left in the dark when we can or can't file DCF.

Juarez is allowing applications up to 30 days before closing while Manila cut it off at 60 days.

USCIS to Close the Ciudad Juárez Field Office

USCIS will permanently close its field office in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, on June 30, 2019.  The last day the office will accept applications/petitions and be open to the public is May 30, 2019.

I am sure the timelines are based somewhat upon staffing.   Juarez is the largest processor of Immigrant Visa,   I saw at least 3  windows being worked when I was there.

Juarez closed today. . .  not sure who will be next.

The embassy is not closing.  The USCIS office is closing....as are all the other international USCIS offices....at some point in the near future.

How many of these threads can we see on here?????? The embassy is NOT CLOSING at all only the USCIS offices. Even the ABSCBN article said as much but people are taking the USCIS office closing as meaning that the embassy is closing.

And yet the rumors persist, like the legend of sponsorship and invitation letters for B visas.....

Duterte has declared that it will be opened in Davao City

I thought everyone was ejected from the US Embassy to the streets, and Philippines sided with China and has declared war on the United States.
