Checking case status

We received the NOA2 3 weeks ago but when I try to check the case status online it still only shows the NOA1 date. Should it at least be showing the NOA2 date by now?

Also, is this link for checking the status too? https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx  When I enter our case number and DOB of my fiance it says the case number doesn't match the DOB. I checked the copy of the petition that I filed and I'm entering the correct DOB.

USCIS may not update the status in timely manner as long as you receive the paper notice you are good

It should be NVC case # and Invoice #.  You will get them once NVC enters your information into their system - this can take 6-8 weeks after NVC receives the information from USCIS.

You will get your case file number from NVC.   You can email NVC to acquire the MNL# or wait for the letter in the mail.   I suggest emailing NVC then forward the NVC email/letter to your fiancee as she will need this for the medical at SLEC.

I got the case number today by calling. I emailed them requesting the case number last week but still haven't received an email back. Does the email come in the next day or so?

5 to 7 days after your inquiry.

Since you have provided your email, when the file finally ships to Manila, you will get the "official" notice on the day it ships via email as well.

YMMV

You will get the email notice from NVC once the case file has shipped.   Calling to get the number won't speed things up as SLEC now requires the NVC letter/email for the medical.    Do make sure to email a copy to your fiancee so she can print it out for the medical.
