Correct that's what I am thinking

Stay 1 month or 3 week I don't think it will make any difference  ,if we make stay on DS160  two weeks or 3 weeks if they are suspicious about immigration intent nothing can chnage it my question is on DS160 we cannot show ties in Pakistan we can proof with supporting docs which they never check or ask for and say sorry means that they make thier mind on DS160 which is just basic information related applicants only details and if anyone spsonsirng thier visit.

Unless supporting docs are not seen how can intent or ties of the person be judged

OP, to share a little of my own experience with my parents and their application for their tourist visa:

I scheduled them for B1/B2 visa interview on the same day that I had my CR1 visa interview. They went in before I did since their appointment time was earlier than mine. When I got in, they were still sitting and waiting. I sat with my back to them since the embassy places different visa categories in different seating arrangements. After I sat for approximately 10-15mins, I felt a tap on my shoulder and when I turned around, it was my dad telling me that they were going outside to wait for me, they just got denied.

After my own interview, I went outside and spoke to my parents who explained that the lady at the window did not ask to see one single document they had. She just asked my dad why they planned to visit, how long he was retired, when last he was a visitor to the US and why my mom never worked.

She told them to stand by while she typed in her computer, then handed them the 214(b) paper saying that the paper would explain everything why she denied them the tourist visas but all the paper explained was they were issued a denial under 214(b). Truthfully, one would not know WHAT a 214(b) is unless you research it. I even went so far as to email the embassy after receiving their email asking for a survey of our visit. I was responded to by the embassy explaining that all applicants for non-immigrant visas MUST be viewed as pursuant of visas with intent and only documentation can persuade the officer to approve/deny the application for a visa.

That made perfect sense and I told my parents. They tried again 1 year later and got their visas; again, with no document review (I sent them invitation letter, etc.). The lady was very nice and friendly and told them that they are now getting the chance to see their grandbabies :)

My dad asked her how come they were denied the last time, she smiled and explained that all applicants are deemed to have immigrant intent and that all embassies have a quota for approvals/denials which is public knowledge, also why they have the disclaimer that the fees are non-refundable.

I told my story to show you that the denial can happen to any applicant at any time in any embassy. It is not pinpointed at the person, location or religious affiliation. I know there are many countries under scrutiny for fraud, terrorism, etc. but there have also been approvals for persons residing in those said countries. It is the duty of the non-immigrant applicant to prove they intend to return after the duration of their stay in USA. It is also the duty of the immigrant applicant to prove they will live and work in the USA and not use America like a tourist destination that they can just come and go as they so please.

I hope I was able to shed some light on what happened with your own situation so you can view it from all perspectives. :)

Ties are judged based on the ds160 and interview. Usually only about 2-3 minutes at the window, if everyone began 1)showing docs and 2)explaining, the interview would never end and COs would never go home.

2-3 week visits are uncommon when flying 20+hrs to get to the US.. and airline tickets aren't necessarily cheap to indulge in a short visit.

I know of no S.Asian visitor staying just 2-3 weeks, but I've heard of plenty who stay up to 5.5 months.

My parents did.

I respect your opinion but I stand by my advise.

They are still applying for the visa so winning the "heart" of the embassy is the hurdle they have to overcome. I'm sure the initial visit won't be their first and last. They can stay longer for their second visit (within the allowable timeframe ofcourse).

Did they apply from the Philippines?

Last I checked, Philippines is not in South Asia.

Embassies don't care about hearts. They care about B2 applicants ties to their country that compels them to return.

Southeast Asia to be exact.

My advise is for OP's consideration or not. 😃

He take it or leave it, his choice.

I'm willing to wager that most visitor visa overstayers don't come over to stay on the first initial trip. My guess is they visit a couple of times beforehand to "get acquainted". But I am also willing to bet that when they do decide to come over to stay, whether it is the first trip or the 100th, they usually have decided and well aware of what they are doing.

Because documents can be easily falsified, they are not accepted.  The entirely of the B-2 visa evaluation is based upon the info provided in the DS-160 and the interview.

As mentioned, supporting docs brought to a visa interview can be easily forged...happened many times before.  The CO has no way of authenticating the documents on-the-spot infront of them.

What sort of questions were asked at the interview, and how did they specifically respond?

They apparently do just by the application and the interview. US embassy in Nepal doesn’t even allow such supporting documents. Not sure how other’s appointment confirmation looks like, I’ve attached the snapshot of the confirmation for my parents visitor visa interview where it says “bringing such supporting documents are strictly discouraged” in bold.

So true. 100%. Nobody here can pinpoint whose going to overstay or not. That's every applicant's decision to make.

Each embassy is different. There was a post a few weeks ago someone in eastern europe was asked to show an invitation, doc, etc for a B2.

I thought that applying for a tourist visa is just easy. I feel like the last option left is for your parents to try it again.

They can certainly try again. Getting approved (or denied) for a B2 visa is a combination of different scenarios.
