Still Haven’t returned my documents

My wife and i sent my documents to uscis for the green card. Ups said that someone had signed for the documnets on april12th. Soon after we sent the documents, the debit card that we sent for the payment was canceled and the bank sent us a new one. The information on the payment form that uscis has NOW is not correct. We tried calling uscis but never got an option to speak with a human person on the phone becuase its mostly automated.

My question is, will they automatically send my documents back to my address so we can correct the mistake? Will they send an email stating they’ve received it at least?  How long should it take for them to send it back?

Its been 2.5 weeks since the documnets areived there but we still haven’t heard anything from them and not sure how to contact them. I’m worried because tomorrow i will have been here in the US FOR 90 days. We are married now, but does it mean that i am illegally here if my documnets have not processed yet?

Thanks

If USCIS was able to process the payment (before the debit card was cancelled), and your application is considered complete, then you should receive your NOA soon.

If they were not able to process payment, expect your entire package to be rejected and sent back for you to resubmit with the correct payment info.

Apart from getting a new debit card---have you looked at your bank account history to see if the amount for filing came out?

You must be married within the 90 days. You should file your I-485 soon afterward - generally within 180 days of entry, but even that is not a hard and fast limit.
