Missing section on medical sheet

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help, had my medical a few weeks ago, ive noticed theyve omitted the Polio section and not even put as "not age appropriate" is that going to be a problem for AOS ?

I know polio isnt a required vaccine over 18, but i dont like a missing section on my form.

They have checked off the part that i have voluntarily completed vaccination requirements.

Im probably worrying too much, but if not id like to be prepared of what to do next.

thanks !medsheet.thumb.jpg.b508839b34df87efc51be67294abf381.jpg

Just get the polio vaccine! You're moving to the most diverse country in the world, and the US has immigrants from all other countries:

Q: Polio is a disease you read about in history books. Does it still exist? Is it curable?

A: Polio does still exist, although polio cases have decreased by over 99% since 1988, from an estimated more than 350 000 cases to 22 reported cases in 2017. This reduction is the result of the global effort to eradicate the disease. Today, only 3 countries in the world have never stopped transmission of polio (Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria).

So this is very interesting.  Remember how the K-visa is a non-immigrant visa.  See in Section 2 where there are two boxes that can be checked.  You got the K-visa box checked for completion of vaccination requirements.  So she is good to go for travel to the US on her K-visa.

If you marry her and then file her AOS documents, it will be up to USCIS to send you an RFE for any additional vaccinations that have to be completed to become an immigrant (ie get green card).

In my case, I did not have a polio vaccination and I went through AOS without being asked about polio vaccination. However, I did get a polio vaccination in the USA and had a certificate for it in case it was asked for at AOS interview.

So polio vaccination is required of immigrants within 12 months of travel to the USA.  My USCIS AOS process just did not bring up the subject.  Probably a USCIS mistake.

Hi, sorry maybe i should be more clear.

The AOS doesnt require a polio vaccine. I have had my AOS medical as noted above in London, theres nothing I can do at this point to update it until im in the US. My question is will it be accepted for AOS without Polio being checked as "not age appropriate" considering its not required anyway. Or will i have to go to a civil surgeon who will basically check the box that notes Polio is "not age appropriate" ? which could incur a lot of fees and / or require another medical

FWIW i have had polio vaccine as a child, during my medical whoever filled the form in failed to add it.

No, its not a mistake, its because polio vaccine isnt required, if youre over 18 anyway.

Seeing as you got processed without ever being asked for it I see as a positive though !

Your sheet is fine. The adjudicator has a list of appropriate vaccines by age group and can see you are complete on MMR, Td, Varicella (waived), Flu (waived). And it is marked complete as well.

Relax! I had the medical in London and mine was left out too! It was accepted with the AOS package and I’ve received no RFE. My case is now scheduled for interview.

"Interview has been scheduled" or "Case is ready to be scheduled for the interview." If the former, that was quick for a March NOA1. If the latter, the wait can vary depending on the field office.

My interview has been scheduled. It’s not ready to be scheduled anymore. It only took 5 days from ‘case is ready to be scheduled’ to ‘interview has been scheduled’ for me! Yeah it’s gone very quick! I still haven’t received the letter yet since the update Just happened 5 days ago!
