Hello VJ members

i am having some issues with IRS...this the first time I filled my tax return as married filling separate and mailed it to IRS and they cashed my check about 7 weeks ago...as of today my return don’t show on my account...I just wanna know if any body else has same issue about tax return...My payment shows on my account but I see a message that says  I have an approved extension on my account...I did not file any extension and sent my return in mid March...those who milled married filling separate can shed some light as to how long it will take for irs to process the return...

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Ecuador

they will always cash the check and then process

you are within normal times

as far as an extension, i would check on that / don't trust anyone not to steal tax returns or file things under your name as fake returns are now a big issue/  head to nearest IRS office with copy of your returns and ask

filing anytime after middle of March is going to take longer than a February filier

and is your spouse here or still in home country?

does spouse have ss # as here or ITIN if out?

Is this the 1st time filing married separate? and if so,  did you provide proof of marriage so they don't hold up the return thinking you are single and trying to get bigger tax credits as married
