Hi All,

My fiance was admitted to the United States via K-1 visa on April 17, 2019. She had her medical examination completed on March 12, 2019 at St. Luke's Medical Center in the Philippines. Her medical exam date falls between the flu season of October 1 - March 31.  On her DS-3025 (Expiration Date: 10/31/2020), Influenza vaccination is marked with code F (Flu vaccine not available). I've noticed that in the previous DS-3025 (Expiration Date: 09/30/2017), blanket waiver F (Not Flu Season) has been changed for the new edition. Additionally, under Part 2. Vaccination Documentation, she has a check mark next to "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements". She was given a vaccination for Tdap, MMR, and Varicella. I'm confused whether she has satisfied the Influenza vaccination requirement by blanket waiver? even though the medical exam occurred during flu season and she wasn't given the required vaccination. Do I need to see a civil surgeon for the influenza vaccination or can I save the money? Thank you so much.

We also had our medical in March (you can see timeline) and we didn’t get the flu vaccine either and have never been questioned on it or anything.

Is her DS-3025 marked complete?

If it's been marked under waivers then it's just that.... waived. As in, it was marked complete and the vaccine was not required at that time.

If it's checked that she completed her vaccination requirements, there's nothing to worry about.
