I'm a little confused on this I-130 and I-130a. We are applying for an AOS on from the K1 visa and there was a G-325 that seemed to be required but is no longer but is replaced by the I-130a. I'm going from a K1 visa to a -I485 adjustment of status. Do I need a G-325 or a I-130 or an I-130a in this instance or something else?

What I'm doing is the I-485, the I-765, the I-864ez and the I-693. Am I missing something.  I don't see anything else on the checklists but there seem to be a few listed but "as needed" followiing.

No you do not need the I130 or 130a when going through AOS from a K1

An I 130 would be required for AOS from some other types of visas eg VWP, B etc

Here’s the vj guide for AOS from the K1. No G 325a. As I haven’t done either K1 or AOS I can’t say if it was ever used there .. I know it was used with I 130 at the initial petition stage.

Bottom  line .. you don’t need it
