My wife wants to travel abroad to her original home to see family so she is also wondering if it is any big deal to be out of the US prior to her interview for about 4 months?   Given she has 10 years in the US, she is way beyond the 913 days requirement.  Over the last 10 years she has been abroad for nearly 10 months total - 5 month, 2.5 month, 2 month trips.  We like to get the most out of going so leaves the US infrequently, but stays long when gone.

My wife has been in the US for 10 years, just submitted N-400 in early March, when USCIS estimates that her case will finish in 11 months, does that mean oath taking?

Based on USCIS 11 month estimate, can we can assume December interview, January approval and maybe February oath?  I've seen some dates regarding the end of the process and it seems it roughly takes a month for each (interview, approval, oath).

Thanks.

Not really sure you can assume anything related to USCIS, but sure your wife should have no issues traveling.  In our case, my wife filed her N400 and left the next day for four weeks to visit her mother, luckily she was only gone for that amount of time as the interview came up much sooner than either of us expected.  I would plan a potential contingency if that happens while your wife it out-of-town.

Good Luck!
