Anyone from India have a rejected birth certificate?

So I have a question for those whose spouse is in Kolkata or India. My spouse's Birth certificate is very difficult to read, as the handwriting is just awful. You cannot even make out the spelling of his parents names. Also, the stamped seal has faded and you cannot see the entire stamp anymore. I looked up his municipality registrar and it has the correct seal/signatures etc. but I am not pulling it up in their database as registered, even though it says registered on BC. I may just try to get a new one to replace as I feel this could all be an issue..I am with Nebraska SC..so I definitely have time to do it.

If it's that bad, you should get a duplicate birth certificate issued. In my state, it takes them a few days to issue a duplicate copy. A birth certificate has no expiry, so you can ask your spouse to immediately apply for one. I don't think it will be an issue at all. Before 2000, the quality of paper they used were terrible. The stamps used fade and if not laminated the BC gets torn or damaged easily.

October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
