Hi! Has anyone heard from their lawyers or what is going to happen. There articles written in March about Trump closing all consulates starting with Juarez, Mexico. They want to close it by June 30th. Does anyone know any info on this and if this happens where will the interviews be held. I get that interviews will be delayed more now if that really does happen.

No consulates are closing. Consulates are part of DOS, and where you interview for a visa.

 

International USCIS field offices (part of DHS) are being considered for closure. These are where you would file forms for DCF and such. For anybody who files petitions in the US already (the vast majority of people), this will have no impact on them. For would-be DCF filers, they would now have to file in the US like everybody else if/once this happens.

The news is fairly widely reported but not official.
