Here's the situation. AOS interview is in 3 days. We have everything but we haven't had the medical examination yet. Will try to do it tomorrow but that will be too late to get the TB results and probably too late to get blood test (HIV and Syphilis) results. What should we do?

I'd for sure go and get the medical done ASAP and ask for the paperwork to be completed ASAP before your interview. Take what you can (i.e. evidence that you've had it done) to the interview. They might just ask you to fax them the results of the immunizations when they are done OR to hand in the complete medical when it is done. If they choose to approve your application for AOS, it will likely be conditional on submitting the medical.

That's my thought, I could be completely wrong. You should have gone to have the medical done much sooner.

You came in on a K1... did they specifically ask for a new medical for the AOS interview? Or just the vaccination supplement? Or did your K1 medical expire.

Would have done it sooner but we have been dealing with my mother passing away recently.

:time:

Been one and a half years since since my wife came in on a K1 visa. Almost 2 years since the medical exam in her home country, Thailand.

Notice to appear for initial interview has bring the following items.

A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted).

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, try and get to a civil surgeon tomorrow. If you can't get the results in time for the interview, get as much as you can from the civil surgeon to show at your interview that she did in fact go for her medical. They won't deny you for lack of medical but will put the approval on hold until they receive the medical results.

If you don't bring everything you need to the interview, your approval will be delayed. You will be given documentation of what to mail or bring in to finalize the approval.

Depending on the workload of your District Office, it could cause a significant delay in receiving the greencard.

...but that will be too late to get the TB results ...

Hey, if you see this before the medical today - instead of a skin TB test, you might request an X-Ray to check for TB. They do the X-Ray if the TB turns positive. Or if anyone had a TB vaccination in the past, an X-Ray is the norm, since after TB vaccination, skin test always turns positive.

Found a CS in Reno (1 1/2 hours drive from home) this morning that did complete medical exam for $99, blood tests and all. Our AOS appointment is at 1PM in Sacramento on Thursday so we can stop by the clinic in Reno on Thursday morning at 9AM, have the TB test checked. If TB is OK they will hand us all of the paperwork for I-693 and vacs supplement to I-693 and then we can head to Sacramento with everything in hand for the AOS interview. TOO MUCH DRIVING!!! TOO MANY INS HOOPS TO JUMP THRU. Whole thing is a big pain in the butt. I really pity the people who don't understand the English Language very well and try to do this.
