Hi guys,

So I sent my AOS packet out two weeks ago and have not heard anything back yet. I was going over the mailing address and I don't know how but I sent my packet to:

USCIS

Attn: VKL

131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor

Chicago, IL

60603-7219

The address is right but it went to the wrong department. It is supposed to be Attn: AOS

It's a dumb mistake, but can anyone give me some advice? Can't track my payment because it was a cashier cheque.

Thanks

I say wait for at least another 2-3 weeks. Either you get the receipt notice or rejection notice including your package. They do forward to the correct location in such cases. They would reject and mail it back if they don’t forward your mail to the correct department.

I'd agree. Wait a couple weeks at least and see if you end up with the NOA1's for it all. Otherwise you'll just get the whole packet back with payment untouched and you can resend it in

Based on the information on the USCIS website, i think u should be fine, it may be  week or 2 delay but sounds like they will transfer it for you to the right deptm see screenshot below:

The link to that full USCIS page is this:

Hope this gives u a sense of calm. Good luck!

According to https://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses it should be Attn: FBAS ? I doubt it is fully relevant. Check if money were taken? And e-mail lockbox support e-mail address.

Thank you guys for the answers. I have emailed the lockbox and their automatic reply says they will get back to me before 30 business days.

The process continues to drag on.

Wish y'all the best. Thanks again!

Hi, did you solve the problem? I made the same mistake too 😭
