Morning.  My husband filed online  and his interview is tomorrow morning, it took exactly six months.  His interview is at 6:40am in Fairfax, VA.  Due to the time, I will not be able to make it because I have to take our kids to school.  I know I won't be allowed in the interview but wanted to be there for moral support.  Does anyone know how the Washington Field Office works, will his oath ceremony be the same day?

Thanks.

Same day oaths are very, very rarely offered anymore.

Just to note---if he IS offered a same-day, by some off-chance, he can always request to NOT do it same-day because he'd like his family to attend and then he'd just get put in the oath ceremony queue like everyone else :)

That is great news that he was able to get an interview so fast!

We submitted my husband's N-400 paperwork online about a month ago. When we sign in, it says that our expected wait time for the application process is 19 months. Did you find that your expected wait time in the system was accurate to how quickly you received notice of his interview? I know the "19 months" is an estimated time frame from application submission to oath ceremony, but I'm curious if this is the same estimated timeline everyone gets or maybe it is specific to my location.

Did he file following 3 years (marriage) or 5 years of permanent residence? If 3 years, and hasn't done ROC, you should be there...

I think the wait said 18 months after we applied.
