Its a good indicator. Mine changed to that status on 4/1/19, and I received the Interview Notice on 4/22/19 that the interview is scheduled for 5/20/19, only 82 days after submitting. I can't believe how fast my case is moving. I hope the same for you. Just an FYI, status online never changed to "scheduled the interview" or "interview notice sent". The only way I knew about the interview was randomly receiving the notice in the mail without any prior notification, so keep an eye on your mail!

I got a status update when "Interview was scheduled" but online updates don't seem to be consistent for anyone. Definitely a good idea to watch the mail for the actual notice.

The time between now and the actual interview being scheduled will depend on your local office. My status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" on 2/13, and updated to "Interview was scheduled" on 4/10, just about two months later (got the actual notice with the interview date in the mail on 4/16), and I'm in Queens, NY. But there are people in Brooklyn and Manhattan who have been stuck at "Case is ready" for months, some for over a year and counting.

Filling in your timeline and checking out other timelines for people at the same local office is useful for getting an estimate. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but it can help manage expectations!

I still find it weird how some cases move much faster than others even at the same office. I know that no 2 cases are identical and all that, but it's still odd to me to see some go through in a few months and some hang around for a year or more, even when they're both "the same" in terms of relatively simple, no divorces, no waivers needed, etc.
