Has anyone had the medical exam in the U.S. and can tell me what it is like?

Yes and yes.

I had my vaccination records from home country, and prior to the medical I researched which vaccines I would need. I needed MMR, Tdap, and flu. I got the flu vaccine at Walgreens, and the other two at my County's public health clinic super cheap. My medical was $220, and required two visits. On the first visit, I filled out paperwork, had blood drawn and gave a urine sample, and paid the fee. Those samples were sent off to labs. Once the results of the labs were back at the doctor's office, I returned, at which time they gave me the completed medical exam to review for any mistakes in my personal information. At that time I asked for a copy of the complete exam, prior to the original being sealed by the doctor. After reviewing the medical exam, I was called to the back to briefly meet with the doctor. He reviewed the medical with me once more, asked a few questions, and did a very brief exam.

Lastly, did you have to take your clothes off down there!?

I did not. They did ask if I had any tatoos, and wanted to see them. Once he saw that it was just my mother's name, he laughed and said they have to ask to make sure I wasn't a gang member like MS-13 or something. I did not have to be examined "down there"

Thanks for sharing!

I have a ton of vaccines from my home country and I have the vaccination record in English. I really hope they will accept it.

They should accept your records. If they do not, I have a suggestion based on what I did. My vaccination record was in Spanish from Mexico. I took it with me to my County's public health clinic when I went for my MMR and Tdap vaccines. They transferred all of the information from my Mexican records to their database, and gave me a printed record. In other words, I now have a complete vaccination record from the state of Texas, which is what I took to the medical exam, along with my Mexican record.

Hi, my fiance is missing his MMR vaccine. He came a week ago. Do you how much will the MMR vaccine cost? And do we have to go walgreens or should be a civil surgeon?

$8 at my County's public health clinic.
