Hello everyone!

My fiancé (petitioner) and I have a relationship of 1 year 3 months, at the time of applying for K1, we had 1 years and days. In this time he has visited my country once for 10 days since his work has not allowed him to come. I have visited it 3 times, 1 visit of 16 days and two of 5 days. (We saw each other approximately every 3 months) ** I wonder: Could it be a problem in the interview that he only came once to see me? We plan to wait for the interview so he can come back and go with me.

That's a reasonable amount of visits. And really doesn't matter who goes where in sense of visits since some don't have the capability of obtaining a tourist visa like you apparently have. It really depends on the culture if it's important for the fiance to get good with the family and all, but you've seen each other more times than a lot of others have.

Agreed, face-time is face-time regardless of where it occurs or who travels where.  Having him be in the DR for the interview may also look good.

Not at all!

People do have lives and jobs and commitments that prevent overseas travel so it should not be a major factor. Of course, if the question comes up as to why, your fiancee CAN explain that work obligations did not leave room for habitual/lengthy travel overseas. ;)

That gives me peace!
Yes, I have a tourist visa. And in my country it is not a cultural issue that the groom should be accepted by the family. In my case, I was a little worried because I have 2 girls and possibly a consular official who questions that he has not shared much time with them face to face. The good thing is that I am sure that the good relationship that exists between them will be noticed. He talks to my daughters every day in video calls and keeps an eye on them. I think that in the faces of my daughters the officer will find the answer hehehe.

¡Buena suerte!

Thank you!

Thank you!
