Hello everyone! This has probably been asked before however I just wanna hear your insights about it.

I have a question regarding the Affidavit of Support. A lot of people (as well as RapidVisa) are saying that it should be Original because of the wet signature. But I have read on the website of US Consular Affairs that it’s ok to bring the scanned copy as long as the signatures are not typed or electronically signed.

My fiancé and I wanted to just scan it because it’s less hassle and we’re sure that it’ll be secured. I’m thinking of also printing that part of the website if in case they told me during my interview that they require the original form.

Below is the screenshot from the website. Thanks in advance!336A1A00-9ECF-4F8A-9386-F86AEE81B056.thumb.jpeg.3e2520b395a8a6d21476e64076827f20.jpeg

The issue with printing that part of the website is that it's for an I-864 for an immigrant visa, not an I-134 for a K-1. So I don't think it carries any meaning.

However...

1) Manila rarely asks for an I-134. But one should be ready in case they do.

2) A scanned and printed I-134 + supporting evidence is fine.

So you're fine. It's not harmful to have a wet signature by any means, but the advice that it is needed is either (or both) outdated and/or out of an abundance of caution.

Side Note: Your timeline shows your I-129F was processed at TSC. It was not. All I-129Fs for the past several years are initially processed at CSC. Receipt numbers starting with "WAC" mean they were assigned to CSC. The bottom of the NOAs should show this as well.

The I-129F is sent to a lockbox facility located in Texas, but that is not the Texas Service Center. The lockbox for I-129Fs and the service center just happen to be in the same state.

Hi @geowrian! Thanks for taking time to give your helpful insight. I went ahead and edit my timeline to correct the service center to CSC

Also I didn’t notice the I-184 that was written on the website 🤦🏻‍♀️. But glad to know that they rarely ask for the I-134 here in Manila and that scanned and printed I-134 is ok (as well as supporting docs).

Thank you so much!
