If you live in one of the Southern Border states there are inland CBP/ICE checkpoints, CBP officers sometimes hang out at TSA checkpoints.  Again, highly unlikely you will run into an ICE or CBP officer, but it is possible.

What would I needed to have done to get a NTA? I haven't worked or done anything illegal apart from overstay my visa

Like others have already said, overstaying itself satisfies the requirement for NTA but they usually won’t issue NTA until you run into them.

Anyway, make sure your AOS filing is backed up with lots of evidences including financial requirements for i864. These days, USCIS is issuing bunch of direct denials without RFEs and NTAs are also being issued along with the denials as they know denial means you are not in legal status.

There's no need for you to pass judgement, you are not in my shoes and you are unaware of my circumstances, if you cant just advise then please keep your opinion to yourself

I apologise, I just came here to get some advise but there is so much judgement, can people who've been through it not just give advise instead of judging?

It's OK. You are aware now.

This comes with public forums. Regardless of the topic you may get some static or comments that may not align to your views. Still need to respect the right for people to speak.

P.S. This site is nothing compared to some of the other forums I frequent. I've seen some comments on other forums that would make an imprisoned pirate blush.

Not all people are nonchalant about filling AOS and no need to generalize.

My 14 days overstay is due to 2018 tax returns and absolutely not planned. And I believe there are much others in my shoes . We are aware we have broken the immigration law but there is no way back . And I think there is a “ slight “ difference between OP , me and such  people and those overstaying for 10 or more years and working illegally. But it seems all of us will be considered the same .

I may just suggest  OP to fill asap and hope the best . Good luck .

The 100 mile zone.  Michigan could be full of them theoretically, but we have not seen them yet.  I did run into one a few years ago about 30 miles North of Yuma on US95.

Yep, that one is there a lot. I run from Vegas to Yuma all the time up and down the 95.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Ran into an inland CBP about 30 miles south of the Canadian border in NY. It was a relatively backroads route.

There was one in NH over the summer, on the interstate.  Totally fouled up the traffic, and netted few-to-no arrests.  Just annoying!

Best of luck to you, Blugoose.  Immigration is a difficult thing to wrap your head around.  Read around the forums, and you'll probably find all the information you need here.
