Proof of relationship

Like what the others said, USCIS doesn't care about chat logs. We didn't include them at all. Just include an obvious paper-trail that you've met in the last two years, it's not the USCIS's job to prove your relationship AFAIK, that's the embassies job. You seriously shouldn't worry, and I've noticed you're from the UK like myself. They're super relaxed at the UK Embassy and typically aren't suspicious and don't require much (if any at all) proof. All we included in our packet was the last two years of flight tickets, and then linked the tickets with pictures from each trip with a very short description under each. Make it easy for USCIS to tick the "Met in the last two years" box and you've got nothing to worry about.

Hi, you do not need to include ANY chat logs for the k1 visa. You can use other evidence such as plane tickets, receipts, pictures together. You can include the chat logs with all the profanity's you want to as long as you both don't accidentally call each other husband or wife in any of those conversations, I highly doubt USCIS reads the chats.

03/01/2019 - USCIS Chicago lockbox received case  for AOS/EAD/AP

03/21/2019 - NOA1 received hard copy via post (Notice date 03/14/2019)

You do not have to include your chat sessions at all. Skip that. Seriously not needed. Prove you met in person, one of you is a US citizen. Both free to marry and intend to marry.....

Youtube immigration service strikes again.  Why would you doubt the official website.   Leave it out.   I submitted zero of this nonsensical evidence in the petition.

It’s like TSA requires one to take off belt, shoes and jackets but there are some people who take off everything and pass thru the scanner in underwear only. Just because few people did that doesn’t mean you have to go beyond the official requirement. 😉😉

Same here.  We didn't even include pictures, except for the required passport style pics.  No RFEs or delays.

proof of ongoing relationship only comes into play at the embassy for the interview. i think that might be where the confusion is

I can only speak for London Embassy which I have followed almost daily for more than 10 years. And the OP of this thread will interview in London is why I commented. London has never ever wanted to see proof of ongoing relationship. They want the civil documents from the petitioner, the affidavit of support, and ask a few questions in a friendly chat-like manner.

I can maybe see a value in a chat log if you want to show fiance's who speak English and Mandarin natively are able to communicate. But for the British person who started this thread, both fiance's have the same native language so that embellishment is not warranted.

Like the poster above, I can also only speak about the London embassy. They have never asked for any evidence of the on-going relationship. All they did was ask about 2-3 questions and thats all. I did provide proof of on-going relationship with the k-1 packet (the petition we sent to USCIS) but we only sent in  boarding passes, hotel receipts and a few pictures.

I did take extra evidence with me and a copy of the whole packet I sent into USCIS to the interview but the only thing they asked me in the embassy was the divorce decree from my then fiancé since they had misplaced it, the civil documents from the petitioner and the affidavit of support (like the poster above said).

My interview is tomorrow, but if I remember I'll let you know. However, like Wuozopo said. London doesn't ask for proof of relationship.

If I recall, there was a couple (here on VJ) that took a photo of themselves in bed to prove consummation / a real relationship.  I bet the USCIS officer wasn't expecting that that day.

A few swear words = not even in the top 10 of weird sh*t USCIS / COs see on the regular.

Yes,, but was most interested in proof from date of filing to interview date to assure that the relationship was STILL ongoing

YMMV

Very true. Both the I-129F and I-130 instructions state that the following stuff should NOT be included:

Quote

Graphic photos of childbirth or intimate relations as evidence of a relationship or marital bona fides
