New Card Being Produced

Hi everyone,

 

On April 18 my EAD changed to "New Card Is Being Produced." Since then it has not changed to issued or mailed or any other status. I've done some reading and it looks like it is supposed to change status again when it mails or is issued. Is there something I need to do to get it to change or has it mailed and they just haven't updated the status of it?

Usually the "card is being produced" status is the only status you get. Your card is on its way. Sometimes some people get other statuses but not everyone does.

 

The online status doesn't matter, sometimes it never updated at all. At least you know your card is on its way, others don't get any notification at all, they just get the approval letter and card in their mailbox one day.

 

Sign up for "informed delivery" with USPS, you can track your card there even without getting the tracking number from USCIS.

Thanks. I was getting a little worried that it was just staying at "Card is being produced." I'll keep my eye on the mailbox!
