So I got a certified copy of my divorce consent decree today.  I told the superior court clerk that I needed it for a visa application and she said that I needed to provided them with the entirety of the decree (18 pages).  Should I just staple the decree together after copying it and add it....or from anybody else's experience....do I just need the page with judge's signature?

When I was going through this part of the process, I had to get a divorce decree from Colorado. I did a Google search, and found a link to Colorado State Divorce Records, basically Vital Stats Records for the state. I filled out a form, paid them some money, and voila an official one page divorce record showed up in my mailbox in short order. I submitted front and back copies of that document with other required documents and that was it. Check to see if the state in question has a similar state dept. of vital stats. and go from there.

Good luck.

I stand corrected. I just looked to actually see if obtaining divorce records in AZ was similar to CO. Nah, that would be too easy. You have to go to the clerk of the Superior Court where is was adjudicated. For example, here is the link for Maricopa County:

I live in Tennessee and did something similar.  When I received the document, it showed that I was born in a different state.  I didn't want to cause any confusion with USCIS, so I put that document in my safe and then sent a copy of my entire final decree along w/ the MDA so they could see signatures and stamps.  It was a total of 16 pages.

I am just going to copy the certified copy of the decree and include all the pages to not take chances.  It can't possibly hurt anything.  Thanks for the response
