I received an update online that my husbands case is ready for interview, and a notice will be mailed out once it is scheduled... on April 3rd. When I check USCIS website for Los Angeles processing time it says 12 to 20 months processing time, and that they are working on August 17, 2017. Does anyone know if we will be waiting that long for interview? How long did it take for you to receive your interview date it the mail once it updated it was ready for interview.

K1 Adjustments are usually faster than the USCIS estimated wait time.

Your status means your application has finished preliminary processing for documentarily completeness at the NBC and has been sent to your LFO to sit in line for an interview.

The only way to make an educated guess on your wait time is to search the VJ timelines for both your Visa category (K1) AND your local field office.

You can do that from the VJ main page and select "Immigration Timelines" and then look for K1 AOS from the list. Generate that list and then scroll to the bottom and change the option to only search for your local field office and generate that list of timelines.

Note that that is only a list of VJ members who update their timelines and doesnt reflect an actual representation of all K1 AOS'ers at your LFO as not everyone belongs to VJ. Note also that it still goes on a case by case basis too. But that is as accurate as you will get.

We’re in Seattle, but my husband’s status has been ready to schedule for about 4 months.  Our field office has similar processing times as yours, so really we’re not expecting anything until 2020 at the very earliest.

When I filed for AOS in 2017 the processing times for Los Angeles County field office was 7 months. It took 7 months for me to get an interview. So in my case, back then, it was very accurate.

Was it 7 months after your case was ready for interview or 7 months after AOS was filed?
