Hello!
I dont know if it is me, but I dont think the uk us embassy website is very clear.
Could you please let me know where you book your interview appointment and pay your visa fees?
Also when exactly do you book the courrier to have your passeport back?
Thank you!!!

The London instructions are pretty good. Did you see this instruction page?

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Scroll down to the bottom where the four steps are. Open up Step 4 and it gives a link for where to book/pay. It explains what you will do in order when on the booking site. It even tells you what to print to bring to the interview.

Thank you very much!

Can I pay the visa fee and take the appointment another day?

They only show me availability in may but I would need an appointment in June.

Do it all at once...pick a date, pay. Just wait if you don't find a date you want yet. Somebody else may be able to elaborate on date choices. I did my visa back when the embassy picked a date for you so I have never used the online system to know all the nuances.  @LukeU

Hey hey Candiedie08, yes although the website will show the next available appointment as probably tomorrow or the following day.

Once you pay the appointment fee it will allow you to select whichever dates that are available in the coming month or so :)

Nightmare! Have they asked you to provide them with anything?

Hi, sorry I haven't really been on here much lately. No I didn't get a request for more information, literally just a 221g with AP.

My own case sat in AP for 33 days (approx) and got sent back. Nothing you can do apart from wait and keep checking CEAC. If your petition is returned, CEAC will show "Returned to NVC".

Hi, what do you mean by returned? do they send your case back to the NVC in the States?!

Yeah, it's all on my timeline in excruciating detail. My interview just over a year ago didn't go well, 33 days and my file was returned to the USA. One more month to transit via NVC and it was at the back of TSC's queue. I got to last December and asked a Congressman for help. That got me a NOIR response start of February this year, responded just in time and waiting. I'm told 2-6 months but average time for this is 70 days. Today is day 69 for me.

My case is an example of things going badly wrong in the UK. It can be a lot worse in the high fraud countries, like the one guy who went though this process three times. This is outlier stuff rather than expected.

oh wow, that's not good. Are you still waiting? Is it different for a k1 visa, as I notice yours is EB1?

Yes, I'm still waiting but hopefully something soon. Then I go through the process of either being rejected or my file sent back to London to repeat the interview/medical/acro process again. I assume the processes I went though are much the same for K1 visas.

The difference being that your K1 is (I believe) treated initially as a non-immigrant visa whereas the EB1 I'm on is an immigrant visa.

Oh no! Is there a written reason they handed you?

I just got the standard green piece of paper about 221g. I feel so deflated, they didn’t even ask for any of my extra evidence 😬

It took about 3.5 weeks for them to clear up whatever it was holding up his final approval.
