Landed 3/29 (3 weeks ago) - fiancee is going in to apply for her SSN status, as we're getting married on May 10.

However, when I look her up in SAVE using her I-94, it simply says "No cases found that match the search criteria" - does this mean they will not be able to find her when she applies?  Should we wait until I can find her in SAVE?

I also can't find her using her Alien number (assuming it's the Beneficiary A number on her NOA).

Normal people cannot query SAVE directly; only government entities and employees can do so.

Perhaps you mean an I-94 search?

That's not SAVE. So, when an alien goes to apply for a social security number or driver's license or something like that, the state worker runs their info through SAVE to make sure they are legally present in the US and are entitled to that benefit.

Sometimes there is what's called a SAVE mismatch, meaning the information is wrong somehow. Perhaps the name is misspelt, or the birthday isn't right. At that point SAVE needs to be corrected, and so the government entity begins a manual check with SAVE to verify that the person is who they claim to be despite their info not matching. That is the site that you're now looking at.

At this site you can track how the mismatch is being dealt with, and once it's finally resolved one way or the other.

As I said, you and I cannot query SAVE directly. It is a secure database.

If she came thru point of entry she was in the system 24 hours later max. It is instant now, within a few minutes she was in the system. My fiancee and I went the day after arrival to the SS office and she was in the system. Usually it's the SS office and the DMV who use the system the most.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

So.. fiancee went in, apparently clerk did not say there was any problem finding her, but either way they made copies of her documents, and she got a letter stating up to 4 weeks to verify authenticity of her documents. So.. confused; it sounds like they did find her in SAVE, yet we have to go through manual verification?

That's splitting hair. It is querying SAVE case status. While it doesn't provide direct result, it does give you an idea is SS office still waiting for response from SAVE system, or already received it. Problem is there are several ways to search it, 2 most likely one they would use by I-94 number or by passport number. Even if one returns "No case found" the other might return an active case. @raptoraTry searching your passport number instead of I-94.

There is no splitting hairs. It's not SAVE. It is not querying SAVE status at all.

Found by searching passport - so now we get

"SAVE has returned your case to Maryland - Social Security Administration, SSA (Single Signon).

What Do I Do Next?

Please contact  Maryland - Social Security Administration, SSA (Single Signon) to get more information about your case status."

It doesn't say "Case closed," so I can't tell if this is good or bad 😕

Unfortunately I don't believe it gives you date when it was returned back to SS. It might mean she will get her card any day from now, but you can also try going back to SSA office and inquiring there. I do not think you will get anywhere by calling SSA.
