Hello all,

I was married back in September of 2017 in the Philippines and I assume that my visa type will be a CR-1?

Also about how long is the processing taking these days from starting the petition to the interview date? Thanks!

Spousal visas currently take 12-14 months on average from filing to visa in hand..........If couple has been married for 2 years or more on the date the foreign spouse enters the US, the classification will be IR-1 (10 year green card & no removal of conditions required)....

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

This.  So if youre up to it, you can extend the time to interview and entry to about the 2 year anniversary and get the 10 ur card

My wife entered 30 days short of our 2 year anniversary........after recently submitting the I-751 paperwork, I wish we had waited the additional 30 days.....

Ok, sure takes a while doesn't it. Yes it looks like mine will for sure be past 2 years. Wouldn't be finished until 2020 i think.

If you are just starting then it will be IR because you will have more than a two year old marriage when the time comes

YMMV

If you have already put in an application for your visa, then you'd assume correct.
