Red Ribbon Birth Certificate/Cenomar

I just want to ask if Red Ribbon is needed for Birth Certificate & Cenomar from Philippines.

I'll be filing in Japan. Is it necessary or no need?

Also how about the NBI Clearance?

I've never read anything that it should be in red ribbon but I just want to make sure because I've heard that it should be in red ribbon for it to be recognized by other country.

Thank you

No.  And if you interview in Japan you will not need CENOMAR

It is hard to speculate the process in Japan based upon how things are processed in the Philippines.

NO, red ribbon documents have not been asked for by the embassy (in the Philippines) in about a decade.    And you very likely WILL NEED the CENOMAR for Japan.  I know it is asked for by the U.S. embassies in Singapore and Hong Kong so hard to believe it won't be ask for in Japan.   And you will need an NBI is my thinking also.

The embassy should be giving you a checklist for what documents will be required.  Not sure how the process for embassy in Japan is completed, if they mail your a list or give you an online source.

If there is an active forum for Japan this would have been better served to have moved it there.

Do Abu Dhabi and Riyadh ask for CENOMAR?

CENOMAR will not be on the Tokyo checklist.

Japanese thread with discussion on what is and is not required to attain your visa from Japan. If it is not in the instructions then assume that it is not required. Check with others in this Link. P3 for Japan is in the second link.
