Form I-134 Affidavit of Support "Statement from bank officer"

I'm trying to bring my sister to the U.S. from China for a visit, and form I-134 specifies that I need a 

"Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details regarding the account: (1) Date account opened; (2) Total amount deposited for the past year; and (3) Present balance."

I'm currently using Chase bank, and have gone to four different branches with the information above asking for a statement only to be told that Chase doesn't give out signed written statements without approval from their legal team. What should I do? What exactly suffices as this "statement from an officer of the bank," and how do I get it from Chase?

You are wasting your time preparing an affidavit for a visitor Visa.  It will be ignored

A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa. "

That is an urban myth!   No letter of invitation and no sponsorship is considered by the CO.
