Hey everyone. I am hoping someone may be able to help me or direct me to a thread with advice. I am here in the US and tried applying for my SSN today. The agent said my name in the database is my first and middle name combined instead of my first name being separate from my middle name so they said I need to change this. I tried calling USCIS and they said they aren’t sure what to do because “they aren’t the ones who issued my visa” and I might be able to visit a field office. The SSN office said it wasn’t a big deal and could be easily fixed but I am unsure where to begin this process. Thanks in advance

Thank you. However I only see the option to check my information. Not change anything. I already know that my name may have been inputted incorrectly. Do I need to send an email to them?

thanks so much again for your help

I would. Where you go to change it depends on your state.
