31 Day in Philippines - Where to get extension?

I'm sure you can.   I did it once in Cebu, 2 years ago.   I asked at Immigration booth and there was an office just past the immigration.   Took about 15 minutes to do with no line.   You do have to pay in Philippine Pesos.   It was between 3000 and 4000 pesos as I recall.

I leave this week for Philippines, and looks like I screwed up and booked for 31 day instead of 30 days.

I am arriving at Terminal 3, Can I do the extension to 59 days there when I enter?

I have done the 59 day extension at the airport, just tell the immigration agent while at the window, they will direct you to an office off to the side.

Make you pay in Peso?

Actually no .. they ran about the office gathering up pesos to exchange a $20 bill  (I arrived late in the evening) ..  they were overly helping to say the least.   There is a money exchange at the airport and the rates the were very good the last time I was through the airport.

Good to know

I was thinking if I arrive around 10 pm if my flight gets delayed, I could go sit on the throne in the CR for a couple of hours

Worse case is a trip over to B-I to get the extension .. ya I know, that is annoying.   B-I is terrible for service.

That is Plan B. I gonna spend 6 days in Manila when I arrvive, but I will only have flip flops and I think they have dress code where you can't wear flip flops / Shorts. So I will visit BI in Davao where I have some clothed stored and shoes. I have heard they can hold your passport up to 3 days while the process your extension if you go into the BI office.

I am pretty confident I can get it done at the airport, but I do have a back up plan.

It only took me a couple hours when I did the 59 day at B-I  (yup I have done it there too), no reason for it to take days.    Complete the form, go to the first window to have it approved - go to the next window and pay the money - go back to the other window and they stamp the passport with the extension.     Lot of sitting and waiting BS of course ... welcome to the Philippines.

Plane got delayed in Dallas.

American Airlines to Hong Kong was suppose to leave 10 am Wednesday morning, we sit on plane for almost 2.5 hours and they cancelled flight.  American Airlines then had new flight at 5pm same day, well that flight got cancelled at 5:30 pm due to no captain showed up to fly the plane.  They said to go certain gate and rebook.

Thankfully I hauled butt and was toward front of line, got a flight from Dallas to London, and had 2 hour layover in London, Caught Flight from London to Hong Kong with another 2 hour layover, and then a short flight from Hong Kong to Manila.

So I made it in about 14 hours later than my expected arrival and didn't have to mess with getting a visa extension.
