I sent an email to the US Consulate Lagos last week requesting for an update on our case .. So I just received a reply from them stating :

"According to our records, visa issuance is pending receipt of I-864A for the petitioner’s spouse.  Please scan to us at LagosIV@state.gov with the case number as subject."

I don't understand what this statement means because we have submitted the I-864A form to them since March 26th along with our international passport ...
So I am confused here and I would appreciate it  if you would explain what is happening?

Maybe your petitioner filled tax jointly with their spouse (wife or husband) si the need a I864 from that spouse also.

If you have sent it already, I suggest you resend it

Yes my petitioner and her spouse file tax jointly..and on the day of our interview the consular officer requested us to submit an I-864A along with our international passport at D DHL office which we have done since 26th of march!!!

So what's confusing me is that why would they be asking us to scan it to them again??... Did d document got missing??

I am just confused and stressed out as its more than a month since we have done our interview... Still no visa

My joint sponsor filled jointly with his wife, the wife didn't fill 1864a so I'm thinking of going to interview with it knowing now, they requested it from you or I should submit it to ceac even though I have case close.

If you already have interview date, don't upload to ceac. Take it with you to interview.

They might have misplaced it. Resend it again.
